D'Urville Island Wilderness Reort

Bringing customers to our own backyard was an obvious progression to our business and teaming these two businesses together means that we can now provide charter and accommodation packages from Port Nelson to D'Urville Island. The Wilderness Resort is often referred to as "the Marlborough Sounds' best kept secret” and is a sanctuary in today's hustle and bustle far away in a remote area of the Marlborough Sounds. The D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort offers a bar, restaurant, accommodation, walking trails, and fishing charters. Set in over 200 hectares of regenerated bushland, it is the ideal place for the adventurous or those who just want to get away from city life for a while.

Of the several offshore islands around the Marlborough Sounds, D'Urville Island is the largest. D'Urville is separated from the mainland by a narrow, tidal channel called French Pass. The scenery on and around D'Urville is spectacular, ranging from colossal forest-clad mountains to serene bays and coves, to the rugged exposed coastline. Our trips to D'Urville Island are now available to mountain bikers to access the great selection of remote tracks, and you can now get access to these directly from Port Nelson.

A minimum of 10 people are required for full-day or half-day charters.
